Chequamegan Bay Golf Club The new 18-hole championship course opened in July of 1999. The following June, a Grand Opening celebration was held. In the spring of 2001, the course owned by Ashland Lodge #137 of the B.P.O.E. was renamed the Chequamegon Bay Golf Club. The Elks continued to own and operate the golf course through 2011. Beginning with the 2012 golf season, a group consisting of members of the Chequamegon Bay Golf Club purchased the golf
