The La Loma course is one of two 18- historic Fort Sam Houston. The original 18 holes, now split between the two courses, were created by A.W. Tillinghast in 1929. The facility hosted the Texas Open in the '50s and '60s, making it the only military facility to ever host a PGA event. La Loma has its fair share of challenges but overall the other course at the club, Salado del Rio, is considered the more demanding
