Dougned by Paut The Gog Magog Golf Club, established in 1901, has been the favourite Cambridge golf club for top class amateur events having the special appeal of two top quality championship golf courses. Each year the Lagonda Trophy is contested on the Old course and this blue ribbon amateur event attracts some of the world's best amateurs. Lee Westwood's mother caddied for him when he won the trophy in 1992. Luke Donald and Andy Sullivan are also notable past Lagonda Trophy winners. At 6,398 yards from the back tees, the Old course is not about length it's about accuracy and finding the right part of the tricky, sloping greens. Be prepared for a challenging start as you steadily climb from the Clubhouse and take in the beautiful vista from the Gog Magog Hills.
