The course is open to Great River members and Sacred Heart University affiliates. Great River Golf Club is one of the premier golf facilities in the northeast and is nationally ranked as one of the best collegiate courses in the country. Since the course opened for play in 2001, Great River Golf Club has hosted multiple USGA qualifying events, Intercollegiate events, and is currently home to the LPGA's Epson Tour Hartford Healthcare Women's Championship.
