
The Wamego Country Club golf course opened in 1920 and the original 9 holes was designed by famed architect Chick Trout. A new nine-holes was opened in 2004 and was designed by Wamego native Eric Langvardt. In 2014 a new hole number one was designed to make way for a driving range, that is open to the public. The par 70 layout sits on 160 acres and provides 4 sets of tees ranging from 4800-6072 yards. Some people claim Wamego Country Club to be the "hidden gem of the Flint
