Bellerive Country Club began in 1897 in north St. Louis as a nine-hole course; in 1955 renowned architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed and built the current course on a new site. The "Green Monster of Ladue" opened on Memorial Day 1960. Rees Jones, the son of Robert Trent Jones, Sr., renovated the course in 2006 and further updated it. Ranked as one of the top golf courses in the country, Bellerive has hosted multiple PGA tour events, including the US Open, the BMW Championship, and the PGA Championship. It is also the site of the 2030 Presidents Cup.
