Play the 2026 PGA Championship Course on GSPro: Aronimink

The PGA Championship heads to Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia on May 14-17, 2026, and the Donald Ross classic is free to play in GSPro. Here's where to find the community-built version, the settings that make its greens play the way Ross intended, and the holes to know before the year's second major.

Finding Aronimink in GSPro

Aronimink appears in GSPro under its own name: Aronimink Golf Club, built by designer scotth67.

It's free to download, no Patreon subscription needed. Search “Aronimink” in the GSPro course browser, or open its page on The Course View to see the scorecard and yardages first.

Recommended settings

Aronimink is a tree-lined parkland course, so wind is less of a factor than at a links or a seaside major. The defense here is the greens. Donald Ross built big, sloping putting surfaces that reject a poor approach and turn three-putts into a habit if you're above the hole. Firm them up and speed them up, and the course finds its teeth.

A PGA Championship setup runs the greens fast, and on Ross contours that changes everything. Leave yourself below the hole and you have a putt; go long and you're defending par. If you're still building out your room, the launch monitor buyer's guide compares every unit that works with GSPro.

What to expect

Aronimink stretches over 7,000 yards and plays every one of them. A few things define a round here:

  • The greens. Ross's crowned, contoured surfaces are the whole test. Miss on the wrong side and getting up and down is genuinely hard, even in the sim.
  • The par 4s. There's a run of long, muscular two-shotters that ask for a good drive and a long-iron approach. This is not a bomb-and-gouge course.
  • The trees. Tight, tree-lined corridors punish a wayward tee shot. Position off the tee matters more than raw distance.
  • The closing stretch. Aronimink finishes strong, the kind of holes that can swing a major on Sunday afternoon.

About the PGA Championship at Aronimink

Aronimink sits in Newtown Square, just west of Philadelphia, and it has a long championship record for a course that stays out of the spotlight most years. Donald Ross himself called it one of his best designs. It hosted the 1962 PGA Championship, won by Gary Player, and returned to the modern tour with the AT&T National and the 2018 BMW Championship, where Keegan Bradley won. 2026 brings the major back for the first time in over 60 years.

Aronimink isn't the only major host in the directory. You can also play community-built versions of:

  • Georgia Golf Club, inspired by Augusta National, home of the Masters (see the Masters guide)
  • Shinnecock Hills, the 2026 US Open venue (see the US Open guide)
  • Royal Birkdale, the 2026 Open Championship venue (see the Open guide)

Playing along at home

If PGA Championship week has you eyeing a home setup, start with the launch monitor buyer’s guide, which compares every unit that works with GSPro. A few things earn their spot in a sim room:

  • Hitting mats (Amazon): a good one protects your wrists over a long parkland round of full iron shots.
  • Practice nets (Amazon): the cheapest way to swing full-out indoors without a full enclosure.
  • Impact screens (Amazon): Aronimink’s tree-lined corridors look far better projected wall-size.

The Course View earns a small commission on some Amazon links, at no extra cost to you.
